What Can We Treat?

ACCOR Plasma Pen

Plasma treatment has become increasingly popular in recent times due to its effectiveness at treating all manner of ageing concerns, as well as the long lasting nature of results. Not all plasma is created equal though, and the unique innovation of the ACCOR Cosmetic Corrector sets it apart as a sector leader.

Plasma sublimation is a form of 'soft surgery'. It enables reconstructive skin treatments, such as eyelid lifts (blepharoplasties) to be performed, without the need to go 'under the knife'.

The long lasting skin tightening capabilities of this procedure, coupled with the relatively short downtime, have added another level of results to Eterno's corrective treatment range.

How does the ACCOR plasma pen work?

During treatment, the tip of the pen is held close to the surface of the skin and the atmospheric gas between the tip and the skin is ionised, creating plasma. The small electrical arc that is created causes a contraction and a shortening of the skin's fibres, resulting in a reduced surface area and an improvement in the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines and scars. The effects are similar to those that can be achieved through surgery, but with less discomfort, downtime and cost.

Who is plasma sublimation treatment suitable for?

The treatment can be performed on white skins through to lighter Asian skins.

What can it be used to treat?

The ACCOR Cosmetic Corrector has a wide range of applications. It is most commonly used for the following:

  • Eyelid lifts - reducing the appearance of baggy upper and lower eyelids and the removal of fine lines.
  • Removing skin imperfections, such as moles, skin tags, warts and pigmentation marks.
  • Reducing smoker's lines around the mouth.
  • Face, brow and neck lifts.
  • Tightening sagging skin on all areas of the body.
  • Improving the appearance of scars, including surgical scarring, stretch marks and acne scarring.

What does it feel like?

The delivery of the plasma arc will feel like a sharp pin prick. You are likely to feel heat and some discomfort in the treatment area, which may last for up to 24 hours post procedure.

How long is the recovery period?

Following treatment, small carbon crusts will form where the tip has been fired to the skin. These scabs will heal and fall off after around 5-7 days, leaving fresh skin underneath. It is important to allow the scabs to fall off naturally, as picking at them can cause scarring and pigmentation. Your practitioner will advise you of the correct aftercare, which must be rigidly adhered to.

How long will results last?

The improvements created by plasma treatment can last for a number of years and results will be seen after a single treatment. More than one treatment may be required in order to achieve the optimum effect however.

Who are treatments performed by?

Treatments are performed by our Clinical Director and our Registered Nurse Practitioner.

The difference with ACCOR is not just in the device itself, but in the quality of training provided to practitioners. Simply being able to safely operate the device is not enough; an understanding of correct arc placement is essential in achieving optimum results, and the structure of each treatment is taught and practiced thoroughly before accreditation is awarded. Our practitioners are trained to PRO level through the ACCOR certification scheme; the highest level possible.
